The spine or spinal cord is located on the posterior side of the body. This location is also known as the dorsal side. Spinal cord is involved in the conduction of messages between the brain and other body parts.

Spine (Spinal cord), or the backbone, is the body's central support structure. It connects different parts of the musculoskeletal system. The spine helps an individual to do different functions like to sit, stand, walk, twist and bend the body parts. Back injuries, spinal cord conditions and other problems can damage the spine which causes the back pain.

Spine is the flexible bone column extending from the base of the skull to the tailbone. It is made up of 33 bones known as vertebrae, and is known as the vertebral column, spinal column or backbone.
