As a part of a bigger commemoration, I would like May 3rd to be designated as Pete Seeger Day. A genuine national hero, Pete was.
A saint, according to Dylan. He was the closest thing to a saint of anyone I've ever known, and he was someone I met and spoke with multiple times (his is the first interview in my book Songwriters On Songwriting). He was among the best song writers, singers, musicians, activists, authors, historians, and banjo players to have ever lived. He supported several greats who needed a champion, including his close friend Woody Guthrie, Leadbelly, Lee Hays, Cisco Houston, Ronnie Gilbert, Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Malvina Reynolds, and a plethora of others, including Joan Baez and Joan Baez. Refining Discussion Techniques Project: Group Discussion [HERE'S THE FULL ESSAY]
For my group discussion I gathered three of my friends to Discuss whether the New California Republic would win the war against the legion in Fallout: New Vegas. I believe Everybody made their points effectively and clear, with all of us deciding unanimously on the New California Republic.
To prepare for the discussion, I played Fallout for half an hour and read through some Fallout comic books, this prepared me well. We each spoke in turns, making all of our points seperately to present them more clearly. Our perspectives may have affected this because many of us may have been biased toward the New California Republic.
We debated heavily at times, but using examples of previously successful endeavors usually settled those debates, and we always remembered to stick to the facts. While many of our perspectives are similar there were many differences, like when Cain had a more lenient opinion of the Legion since he was the only one who had beat them on his first play of the game, this influenced all of our opinions in part and made us think of them in a different way.
We tried to keep the discussion grammatically correct, but it often delved into casual conversation given the subject at hand. I used proper enunciation during any points where I wanted it to be remembered. Eventually toward the end we all started agreeing when we all thought of the way the Legion approached their first battle to take the hoover dam, this was the event that cleared up a lot of the disagreements we were having about the Legion’s ability. All in all the discussion was very fun and strengthened all of our opinions significantly about the subject.
In this group discussion I gathered three of my friends to Discuss whether the New California Republic would win the war against the legion in Fallout: New Vegas that all are discussing about the fallout.

To a great extent, the art of writing thank-you notes has surrendered to impersonal forms of technology. However, the effect of a handwritten note simply cannot be duplicated by a tactless e-mail or a hurried phone call. A written thank-you note shows the care and the effort put forth by the writer because a note requires thought as well as time. Writing a note demonstrates that the gift recipient appreciates the giver's thoughtfulness. In contrast, an e-mail or a phone call may be more convenient for the gift recipient, but these methods do not show the same level of consideration and appreciation as a thank-you note. Both methods lack the attention that a gift—no matter its size—properly deserves. Therefore, a handwritten thank-you note is able to convey gratitude that far exceeds hasty technology.

A.

C.

What explanation does Grant give about what Miss Emma wants from Jefferson and why she wants it? Why is it too heavy a burden for Jefferson, as well as other black men?
Grant states that Miss Emma wants Jefferson to stand for the future of the black community and serve as a beacon of hope.
In an oppressive and dismal environment, she wants him to be a source of inspiration. She wants him to stand for resistance to injustice and the ability of the black race to transcend its limitations and reach greatness.
Jefferson, like many other black males, finds this responsibility to be too great. The pressure of living up to the expectations that their community has put on them is too much for them to handle.
There is a persistent dread of failing and pressure to be the best possible example of what is possible. Additionally, the pressure to achieve despite the tyranny and serve as a symbol of hope for an entire race is too much for one person to handle.

(PLEASE HELP) What is Douglass's position in the speech "The Hypocrisy of American Slavery, July 4 1852"? How does Douglass reveal his viewpoint to the reader? Use details from the speech to support your response.
Answer:
In "The Hypocrisy of American Slavery," delivered on July 4, 1852, Frederick Douglass's position is one of criticism and condemnation towards the institution of slavery in America and the hypocrisy of celebrating Independence Day while millions of enslaved people remain in bondage. Douglass reveals his viewpoint through a powerful and impassioned argument, using rhetorical strategies such as irony, sarcasm, and vivid language to make his point.
Douglass begins by acknowledging the significance of the Fourth of July to Americans, but quickly shifts to exposing the hypocrisy of celebrating freedom while denying it to millions of enslaved people. He argues that the Declaration of Independence, with its emphasis on liberty and equality, is a mockery when applied to the situation of enslaved people in America. He states, "What, to the American slave, is your Fourth of July? I answer: a day that reveals to him, more than all other days in the year, the gross injustice and cruelty to which he is the constant victim."
Douglass also addresses the argument that slavery is justified because it is sanctioned by the Bible and supported by the Constitution. He argues that both of these arguments are flawed, and that the true principles of Christianity and the Constitution demand the abolition of slavery. He says, "I know of no one single good thing that is to be said for slavery, from beginning to end. It is not that the slave is merely held in bondage, it is that he is compelled to labor under a lash."
Throughout the speech, Douglass uses vivid language to convey the horrors of slavery and to evoke emotions in his audience. He describes the treatment of enslaved people as "systematic robbery and wrong," and he compares the American slave system to the "man-stealing system of Africa." These rhetorical strategies help to reveal Douglass's viewpoint and to make a powerful argument against slavery and the hypocrisy of celebrating freedom while denying it to millions of people.
In conclusion, Douglass's position in "The Hypocrisy of American Slavery" is one of vehement opposition to slavery and the hypocrisy of celebrating freedom while denying it to millions of enslaved people. He reveals his viewpoint through the use of powerful rhetorical strategies and vivid language that evoke strong emotions and make a convincing argument against the institution of slavery.
