The point of the Four Noble Truths is to show humans the very different ways that they suffer as well as why this suffering happens. It therefore explains to people why their lives might be going the way it is.

Then the Eightfold Path is meant to show people that even though they are suffering, there is still a way out of this suffering which is by following the guiidelines of the Eightfold Path. River valleys and fertile plateaus

Explanation:

Hi! I studied this a while back. I used what I remember. I hope this helps!

If its wrong pls lmk! :)

Answer:

C) river valleys and D) fertile plateaus

Explanation:

As some people may know, Mesopotamia is a region in the Fertile Crescent that resides between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. Both rivers had flooded regularly, which led to fertile land and the civilization that we know today as Sumer. Over time, regular flooding of the Tigris and Euphrates led to contamination with salt that also led to plant death and the eventual collapse of Sumer.

Mesopotamia was located in modern-day Iraq and was known for being arid, but flourished from the floods. Therefore, thick forests is not a correct answer. As for abundant rainfall, it wasn't always plentiful, but the reason why Sumer was as successful as it was is the frequent flooding of the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. As for river valleys, it's pretty obvious that this is right. Lastly, Mesopotamia at the height of Sumer was very fertile, and it was a plateau.

Therefore, the answers are C) river valleys and D) fertile plateaus.

What happened to the missions when the Franciscan priests left?

Answers

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Although there are no options included, we can say the following.

What happened to the missions when the Franciscan priests left was that the government secularized most of the buildings and properties that belonged to this priest from the Catholic Church.

The term secularize means that religious activities and property passed from the church to the civil society or a laic institution.

The beginning of the 1800s represented the end of the Franciscan presence in the North American missions. When Mexico gained the Revolutionary War of Independence against the Spaniards, most frays and priests were expelled from California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. Just a few frays stayed in parts of California to continue their evangelization work.

Three friends decide to rent an apartment and split the cost evenly. They each paid $640 towards the total move in cost of first and last month's rent and a security deposit. If rent is $650 per month, how much was the security deposit?
a.
$10
b.
$207
c.
$620
d.
$1,270

Please select the best answer from the choices provided

Answers

Answer:

c. $620

Explanation:

To find the cost of the security deposit, we need to subtract the amount paid towards the first and last month's rent from the total move-in cost.

Each friend paid $640 towards the total move-in cost, which includes the first and last month's rent and the security deposit. Since they split the cost evenly, the total move-in cost is 3 times $640, which is $1920.

The monthly rent is $650 per month, so the first and last month's rent combined is 2 times $650, which is $1300.

To find the security deposit, we subtract the first and last month's rent from the total move-in cost:

Security deposit = Total move-in cost - First and last month's rent

Security deposit = $1920 - $1300

Security deposit = $620

Therefore, the security deposit was $620.

Option c. $620 is the correct answer.

Letter structureSalute the reader of the letter.Make an introduction about who you are and why you are writing the letter.Show your opinion about the judiciary shown by Hamilton.Show the effects that you believe this kind of power, as Hamilton describes it, can affect the nation.Say goodbye cordially.

Before writing your letter, you should know what Hamilton stands for in "Federalist, No 78." In this article, he defends the creation of the judiciary.

In the same article, he shows that the judiciary must be formed by judges appointed by the president of the republic and authorized by the national congress to take office.

These judges hold office for life and must verify that the decisions taken by the senators and president are constitutional, as well as help oversee the actions of the executive and legislative branches.

Hamilton advocated that the judiciary be independent of the executive and legislative branches, but work in harmony with them to spur national success.

In his letter, you must show whether you agree with Hamilton's structure and goals for the judiciary. This letter should be short, direct, and to the point.

Below is an example of how the letter could be written.

Dear Mr. Hamilton.

After reading his explanation about the structure of the judiciary and our need to keep it in our country, I decided to write this letter to present my thoughts and extend our ideas on the matter.

I believe the judiciary is very beneficial. Mainly because of his supervisory ability. The country needs a system that prevents unconstitutional laws and attitudes from being established and that our constitution is honored. In this case, I believe that the best way to do this without overloading the other branches is to create the judiciary.

However, I fear that the judiciary is very expensive and that it requires a greater monetary contribution from the population. Although I believe that this price is worth the security that this branch promotes, I worry about how this will be received by the rest of the population that already suffers to pay their taxes correctly.

I believe that we should think more about this and the possible other impacts that this branch can unleash.

Yours sincerely,

A friend.

Explanation:

Dear Alexander Hamilton,

In Federalist, No. 78 you describe the judicial branch by saying, "It can never attack with success either of the other two." I disagree with this statement because the Supreme Court has the power to strike down any laws or acts of the president that it deems are unconstitutional. This power is given to the Court in Article III of the Constitution. In Marbury v. Madison, the Supreme Court gave itself the power of judicial review. This means only the Supreme Court can decide what's constitutional. Because of this, I think the Supreme Court has more power than the executive and legislative branches.

The implementation of the Eugenics program in Nazi Germany from 1939 to 1945 had a devastating impact on the Jews. This program aimed to "cleanse" German society of supposed racial inferiorities by forced sterilization and extermination of those considered "undesirable." Jews, along with other groups such as the disabled and Romani people, were deemed unfit to breed and were targeted for extermination in gas chambers. This led to the deaths of millions of Jews in a horrific genocide known as the Holocaust. The Eugenics program reinforced Nazi ideas of racial purity and contributed to the persecution and dehumanization of the Jewish people.
