Historians such as Kenneth Lockridge who

Massachusetts found this startling fact about
many settlements.
The towns had 80% men, and only 20%
women
Many small towns had separate dwellings for

romantically on certain holy days
Some early Puritans had households practicing
polygamy (having multiple wives)
A large percentage of children were noted in
court records as having been from adulterous
affairs
O Up to half of the Children were often born out
of wedlock
Historians, including Kenneth Lockridge, who delved into the study of small early Puritan towns in Massachusetts, made a remarkable discovery A) towns had 80% of the men and only 20% being women.
This gender imbalance had significant implications for the social structure and relationships within these communities.
One striking feature of these towns was the segregation of living arrangements between men and women.
Separate dwellings were often established for each gender, restricting interaction between them on a day-to-day basis.
In some cases, couples were only permitted to meet romantically on specific holy days, further emphasizing the controlled nature of relationships.
Another noteworthy aspect was the occurrence of polygamy within some households.
Although the practice of polygamy was not widespread, there were instances where Puritans engaged in having multiple wives.
This practice, while not condoned by Puritan religious doctrine, can be seen as a response to the scarcity of available women in these towns.
The prevalence of adulterous affairs was also documented, as court records often mention a significant number of children born out of wedlock.
It is estimated that up to half of the children in these communities were the product of such extramarital relationships.
This suggests that despite the strict moral code upheld by the Puritans, there were instances of illicit romantic involvement and the subsequent consequences of such behavior.

D. The Moors spread Islam throughout Greece.
Answer:
The correct answer is C. The Ottoman Empire takes over Greek territory.
Explanation:
Ottoman control of Greece lasted from around 1453 to the end of the Greek War of Independence in 1832. The sultan divided Greece into seven military districts and sent Turkish peasants there in order to have a reserve army on hand. Some villages were owned by Turkish landowners; there were all Turkish and all Greek villages. Although there was no longer a Greek state since 1453, the Greeks were by no means an insignificant minority within the Ottoman Empire. Trade and seafaring were almost exclusively Greek professions. The Punic Wars led to monetary payments given to Rome? yes for no
Answer:
Explanation:
Yes. The Punic Wars (264-146 BC) between Rome and Carthage resulted in significant monetary payments made to Rome by Carthage as part of the peace treaties that ended the conflicts.
The first treaty, after the First Punic War (264-241 BC), required Carthage to pay Rome a large sum of money as war reparations, while the second treaty, after the Second Punic War (218-201 BC), required Carthage to pay an even larger sum of money and surrender most of its territories outside of Africa. Can you imagine the United States without federalism? Without state governments? For your discussion this week, describe a change that would likely result if we did not have state governments and the power all shifted to Washington and a unitary national government?
Answer:
I don't think that it would be an improvement. I think that most like being able to have a say on who is standing up for our rights at a local level. Most people have more trust in those people that are local and can better understand how local people feel. Some changes that would occur would be that we would only have one person that would be doing most of the ruling or calling the shots for the government. We would not have any say on those people that would be doing the governing.
I think that the reason that they have adopted this approach is because they want more local people to have a say in the law. These people have a better sense and understanding of the local and state government issues. The national government can sometimes have a basic attitude or a compromised agenda. I do think that this a good idea. I do think that most individuals would prefer that the national government be limited on their input on such matters. I think that the less that the national government gets involved in our personal lives the better. A lot of matters are small enough that the local and state levels should be able to handle them.
Dual federalism is the clear division of governing authority between national and state governments. Competitive federalism is the mingled government authority, with functions overlapping the state and national governments.
I would advise them to approach the issue of federalism by making everything equal. They should give more discretion and power to the states because some of the things the government wants the states to do, the states do not have funding for it.
My own political loyalties are most strongly felt for my hometown. I think the community is what accounts for my outlook. I like to think that I have great pride in my country. With that, I think that as time goes on my pride is lessening. The strong values that once were are no longer and that is so sad. We as Americans used to show respect for one another and be grateful for once fought and continue to fight for our rights, but as of right now in our society I feel that a lot of people are only out for themselves and lack respect. They tend to forget that these laws and rights that they want to complain about, they wouldn’t even have a choice if it wouldn’t be for the men and women that fought for our rights. It is a very fine line to me on how I feel because I love this country, but I feel that some government officials have their own agendas and are not thinking about what is best for our country. I really think that since Trump has taken office things have changed for the better. I believe that people are showing skeptical possession of the country right now.

Send spies deep into Confederate states to destroy cotton, free slaves, and tear up railroad tracks of the following was not part of the Union plan for victory. Thus, option (c) is correct.
The Union's strategy for winning did not include sending spies far into Confederate states to rip up railway tracks, destroy cotton and release slaves.
During the war, Union forces did engage in espionage and sabotage, but these tactics were not essential to their overall plan of attack. To defeat the Confederacy and reestablish the Union, the Union plan instead concentrated on a mix of armed forces, economical, and political means.
As a result, the significance of the not part of the Union plan for victory are the aforementioned. Therefore, option (c) is correct.
