Letter to sister on getting admission to my old school and also to give her some information about the school and advising her about school life.

Explanation:

ABC Avenue

Melrose, New York

18 June 2006

My lovely sister,

I am extremely happy to know that you are going to attend the very same school that I attended. I am so excited for you to be a part of the institute's family.

The school is an old institute, regarded as one of the most prestigious schools in our state. So, it is no wonder that everyone flocks to get into it, and now that you've got the chance to be a part of the family, you will know how fortunate and lucky you are to be there. The school's administration and staffs are all so friendly and approachable, ever ready to help the students with their problems. Even the principal is so student-friendly, he's always available to help out if he's not busy. So, you don't have to worry about anything.

That being said, there are numerous rules and regulations that the administration makes for all to obey and adhere to. So, you must obey them, for they are for your good. Despite people saying some of the rules may be outrageous, in the longer run, it only benefits us. And I am talking from experience. So, make sure that you listen carefully to all that I've said.

There are also numerous extra-curricular activities to be a part of, like different societies that you can be a part of. Try getting involved in as many societies as possible and build your social life. They will help you develop into a much better person, socially. And it is also good to enjoy one’s life, even if that’s within certain limitations.

You will also find that the students as well as the teachers are super cool. Sometimes, it’s difficult to think that some teachers are teachers, for they will always be one with the students and even act accordingly, which makes us even more sociable towards them. And this is one of the many perks of being a part of that prestigious institution.

And while we’re at it, I would also like to tell you about the school’s main days like the annual day and sports day. They are the best part of the school year where there will be lots of entertainment and learning, outside of books. They are the ones that will help you in your other elements of learning and will be worth getting involved in them.

Lastly, I would once again congratulate you for getting into that school. I am so proud of you and I can’t imagine having a sister who’s going to have the same alma mater as me. This is going to be a whole new experience for you, so make sure you enjoy it. I will always be here to help and guide you in any way I can.

Take care, I will visit you as soon as I can.

All the best.

With lots of love,

Your sissy.

According to dr. king, the public should focus on the courageous actions of civil rights activists.

A key figure in the civil rights movement from 1955 until his assassination in 1968, Martin Luther King Jr. (born Michael King Jr. ; January 15, 1929 – April 4, 1968) was an American Baptist clergyman and activist. Through nonviolence and civil disobedience, King—an African-American church leader and the son of early civil rights activist and preacher Martin Luther King Sr.—advanced civil rights for people of color in the United States.

The "Letter from Birmingham Prison," often referred to as the "Letter from Birmingham City Jail" and "The Black Is Your Brother," is an unpublished letter written by Martin Luther King Jr. on April 16, 1963. According to it, it is morally right for people to disregard unfair laws and engage in other types of immediate action rather than potentially waiting an eternity for justice to be served by the courts, "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere," argues King in response to being called a "outsider."

Rewrite the sentence using correct apostrophes. "The Smiths vacation rental is spacious and airy."

Answers

The correct use of apostrophes is essential in written communication as it helps clarify possession or contraction. In the sentence, "The Smiths vacation rental is spacious and airy," there is no need for an apostrophe as it does not denote possession or contraction.

If we were to add possession to the sentence, it could be written as, "The Smiths' vacation rental is spacious and airy," indicating that the vacation rental belongs to the Smiths. On the other hand, if we were to use a contraction, it could be written as, "The Smiths're vacation rental is spacious and airy," but this is not commonly used in English grammar.

It is important to use apostrophes correctly to avoid confusion or ambiguity in writing. Incorrect use of apostrophes can lead to grammatical errors, which may affect the clarity of communication and, in some cases, change the intended meaning of the sentence. Therefore, it is always advisable to proofread written work and seek assistance when in doubt.

It's critical to comprehend the steps involved in learning our mother tongue or first language. The process of learning a mother tongue is a complicated one that starts the moment we are born and lasts the rest of our lives.

There are several steps in how Children learn their mother tongue:Exposure to the language is the initial stage in learning a mother tongue. Since they are exposed to their mother tongue's sounds and rhythms as soon as they are born, babies are naturally curious. They begin to imitate the sounds after listening to them. The second step is the development of syntax or the rules for fitting words together to form sentences. Through exposure, infants acquire the fundamental sounds of their language, which is referred to as phonology. Simple sentences are first constructed by babies as they begin to catch up on language patterns from their mother tongue. The process of doing this is called grammar acquisition. Word meaning and context usage are two things that kids learn. The process of acquiring new words is called vocabulary acquisition, which is the third step. Children have an innate curiosity and frequently ask questions. They begin to utilise words in their own phrases as they become more familiar with their definitions. We call this process lexical acquisition. Children also learn how to utilise their mother tongue pragmatically, or how to employ it in social contexts. This includes being able to communicate effectively through questioning, requesting, and conversing. Answer: The value of homework can be understood through various terms and concepts. Deprivation can occur when students are denied access to necessary resources and support to complete homework, exacerbating existing inequalities and perpetuating the digital divide. Respondents to surveys on homework may have varying opinions based on their demographics, leading to different perspectives on the issue. Homework can encompass a variety of tasks and subjects, but the mechanism for its implementation and impact on student learning is often standardized, reinforcing existing power dynamics and marginalizing certain groups. The concept of self-regulation can also play a role in determining the value of homework, as students who are able to internalize responsibility for their own learning are held accountable for their academic performance on subtests. Autonomy in learning is also affected by the economics of homework, as students from low-income families may face additional challenges in completing assignments. Ultimately, the meaning of the claim regarding the value of homework is a complex and multi-faceted issue that encompasses a variety of factors and perspectives.
