Often a work of literature is a social commentary. The work reflects the beliefs, ideals, concerns and problems of the era it was written in. Fitzgerald shows a great deal of disdain for the upper class of the time period in The Great Gatsby while Shakespeare reveals a level of respect and reverence for the monarchy in Macbeth. What truths are revealed about the different eras in which these works were written in? just make brainstorming points

Answers

Answer:

Off the top of my head,

Experience defines what you believe in: It is possible that Shakespeare benefitted from Monarchy in the form of bountiful patrons, while Fitzgerald might not have had good experiences with the upper class (which is not so hard to believe)

Loyalty and allegiance might cloud your judgment: Here, I'm considering Fitzgerald's point of view as more objective because, well, refer to pt. 1. Shakespeare wrote a great deal of drama on historical figures, and it just so happened that he wrote (or portrayed) not so nice things about Queen Elizabeth's rivals.

Time period plays a significant role: During Shakespeare's time, the idea of "divine right" was prevalent, which stated that Monarchy is chosen by God himself. In such a situation, the idea of Monarchy as righteous, just, and reverent echoed with the masses. Whereas by the time Fitzgerald started to write, Monarchy was discontinued, and protests and executions of the Upper class for their treacherous actions were conducted. All in all, Upper-class' sanctity was greatly diminished in the psyche of the masses.

HERE’s my friends essay:

As the imaginative Stephen King once said, “Symbolism exists to adorn and enrich, not to create an artificial sense of profundity.” In Harper Lee’s award-winning, To Kill a Mockingbird, Scout and Jem live in Maycomb, Alabama, where they witness the town’s racist tendencies and unjust habits. Jem, a brave and courageous boy ends up breaking his arm trying to save Scout from dangerous people in the town. Where Boo Radley, a shy and misjudged man saves the children from the attack, representing The Gray Ghost. A town where people like Tom Robinson and Boo Radley are criticized because of their differences, when in fact they are innocent just like mockingbirds. By examining symbols in To Kill a Mockingbird it is evident that as Jem and Scout grow older they realize many things in their life have a deeper meaning than they may think.

To start off, Jem’s broken arm is a symbol of many things in this novel. It symbolizes how things like the church, education, and court systems are all broken and need to be fixed. The book starts off with Scout saying this “When he was nearly thirteen my brother Jem got his arm badly broken at the elbow” (Lee 3). This depicts that Jem broke his arm trying to protect Scout from Bob Ewell’s attack. His arm symbolizes how the trial of Tom Robinson has turned the town upside down. This is how Scout describes what happened...
Jem found me and started pullin’ me toward the road. Some – Mr. Ewell yanked him down, I reckon. They tussled some more and then there was this funny noise – Jem hollered (…). That was Jem’s arm. (Lee 361).
This represents how Jem, someone who did nothing wrong got hurt because of what was wrong in the town. His broken arm shows that people need to change their opinions on things, in order for society to change and move on.

The Gray Ghost is another very important symbol in this book. The story represents how you never really know someone until you understand what they are going through. It symbolizes how the children had once imagined Boo Radley to be. The main character in The Gray Ghost was very misunderstood and turned out to be good once people saw who he really was. When Scout sees this book, she asks Atticus to read it and tells him that she is not afraid. This is a symbol of how Scout is growing up and is not scared of Boo anymore. At the end, Scout describes how the main character was accused of something they never did, just like Tom. She goes on to say...
An’ they chased him ‘n’ never could catch him ‘ cause they didn’t know what he looked like, an’ Atticus, when they finally saw him, why he hadn’t done any of those things… Atticus, he was real nice… (Lee 376).
This showcases how Boo Radley was misjudged by many people even though he showed countless acts of kindness. Such as putting presents in the tree for Jem and Scout, putting a blanket on Scout, and saving them from Bob’s attack. Atticus agrees with Scout by saying “Most people are, Scout, when you finally see them” (Lee 376). This relates to how Atticus had once told Scout that you could never understand someone until you saw things from their point of view.

The main symbol in To Kill a Mockingbird are mockingbirds. This is what inspired the title of this novel. It symbolizes how mockingbirds are innocent and should not be hurt, just like certain people in the town. Miss Maudie once said...
Mockingbirds don’t do one thing but make music for us to enjoy. They don’t eat up people gardens, don’t nest in corncribs, they don’t do one thing but sing their hearts out for us. That’s why its a sin to kill a mockingbird (Lee 119).
There were 3 distinct mockingbirds in this book, Tom Robinson, Mayella Ewell, and Boo Radley. Tom Robinson, was an innocent man put on trial just because of the colour of his skin. He eventually died because of this and was hurt for no reason. Mr. Underwood “likened Tom's death to the senseless slaughter of songbirds by hunters (…) ” (Lee 323). Tom’s trial was very unfair and people knew the minute he walked into the court that he would be convicted solely based on the colour of his skin. Boo Radley is also a mockingbird of this novel that is always misunderstood. Heck Tate describes it like this...
All the ladies in Maycomb includin‘ my wife’d be knocking on his door bringing angel food cakes. To my way of thinkin’, Mr. Finch, taking the one man who’s done you and this town a great service an’ draggin’ him with his shy ways into the limelight – to me, that’s a sin. It’s a sin and I’m not about to have it on my head (Lee 369-370).
This is an example of how Boo Radley was a mockingbird because his differences made people judge him. Boo is a shy person who doesn’t like attention. Heck Tate acknowledges this and realizes that if people knew Boo killed Bob Ewell and saved the

There are two additional statements that can be used to control the operation of while loops and for loops the break and continue statements.

The break statement terminates the execution of a loop and passes control to the next statement after the end of the loop, and the continue statement terminates the current pass through the loop and returns control to the top of the loop.

The processing of a specific case within a switch statement is typically ended using the break statement. An error results from the absence of an enclosed switch or iterative expression.

A break statement in a nested loop only terminates the loop it is included in. As a result, even if the inner loop is broken, the outer loop keeps going. The looping ends completely, though, if the break is positioned in the outer loop.

However, if you received a letter with just "I love ELA!" or "Reading makes me happy" on it, you'd understand the message just fine. 3 and 4 can be spoken normally on their own; however, 1 and 2 need another clause to make sense.

The Common Law and Civil Law systems are two main legal systems in the world. The Common Law system is based on the principles of stare decisis and precedents, while the Civil Law system is based on published codes and statutes. The Common Law system originated in England, while the Civil Law system has its roots in continental Europe.

One of the key differences between these two systems is their approach to the use of judicial precedents. In the Common Law system, judges are expected to follow previous rulings and provide judgments based on established principles of law. This is known as stare decisis, which means “to stand by things decided.” While in the Civil Law system, judges rely more on the interpretations of written codes and statutes, rather than relying on previous decisions.

Another difference is the way in which the legal systems are structured. In the Common Law system, the judiciary is a separate and independent branch of government, responsible for interpreting and applying the law. In the Civil Law system, the judiciary is often subordinate to the legislature, which enacts laws and determines how they are to be enforced.

Despite these differences, both legal systems are designed to achieve the same goal: to provide a framework for resolving legal disputes and maintaining social order. Both systems have unique strengths and weaknesses and are the result of different historical, cultural, and philosophical influences.

In conclusion, the Common Law and Civil Law systems are two distinct legal systems that are used in different parts of the world. Both systems have their unique features, and the choice of legal system often depends on a country’s history, culture, and legal philosophy. Understanding the differences between these systems is crucial for anyone studying law or doing business around the world.

The two principal legal frameworks that are utilized around the world are civil law and common law systems. In general, a civil law system is derived from Roman law and uses a comprehensive legal code to guide legal proceedings.

In contrast, a common law system relies on legal precedents established by past court cases to guide legal proceedings. This essay will compare the civil law and common law systems in terms of their historical development, legal principles, and legal practices. Answers

True. The Bible testifies to Jesus being buried in the tomb of the rich Pharisee, Joseph of Arimathea, recorded in all four Gospels and the epistles of the Apostle Paul. (Matthew 27:57-60, Mark 15:42-46, Luke 23:50-53, John 19:38-42, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

Indeed, the Bible provides multiple accounts testifying to Jesus being buried in the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea, a wealthy Pharisee. This significant event is documented in all four Gospels, namely Matthew (27:57-60), Mark (15:42-46), Luke (23:50-53), and John (19:38-42), as well as in the epistles of the Apostle Paul, particularly 1 Corinthians (15:3-4).

According to these accounts, Joseph of Arimathea, a follower of Jesus, requested the body of Jesus from Pilate and laid it in his own new tomb. The consistency of these biblical references affirms the historical and spiritual importance of Jesus' burial, underscoring the fulfillment of prophecies and the subsequent events central to Christian belief, such as the resurrection of Jesus.

And based on the readings of INTASC Standard my perception has changed of what a teacher is and does has significantly changed.

Before I started studying the readings and INTASC standards, I believed that a teacher's job was to impart knowledge to students and to test them on their understanding. I believed that the teacher was the only source of information in the classroom, and that they were responsible for teaching every single concept to the students.

However, after reading the INTASC standards, I have come to realize that a teacher is so much more than that. The teacher is responsible for creating a safe and inclusive learning environment for students. The teacher must assess the students' progress regularly and provide feedback to both the students and their parents. They should be able to communicate effectively with their students, colleagues, and parents and help to shape the future of their students' lives.
