Humanists changed people's thinking about social classes. They believed individual merit and ability were more important than a person's family or rank in society.
What is Humanism?
Humanism is a philosophy that emphasizes the importance of individuality, human values, and achievements, and the belief in the potential of human beings to improve their own lives and the world around them. This philosophy helped to shift the focus away from traditional notions of social hierarchy based on family lineage and wealth, and towards individual merit and ability.
Humanists believed that all individuals had the potential for greatness, regardless of their social status or background, and that society should be structured to support individual development and achievement. This led to the promotion of education and the arts, and the emergence of a more democratic and egalitarian society in which individual accomplishment was valued over inherited privilege.

Answer:
Poverty.
Explanation:
Poverty is the leading cause of most of the problems we face in America... People resort to gang violence and drug selling/ or addictions to step out of the reality they are in for one and gangs claim to provide you with protection and money.. who struggling wouldnt take that opportunity if thats all they had.
People who tend to live in poverty are surrounded by uncleanliness- intentional or unintentional but having a clean environment is usually least of their concerns. People that are okay with living in that lifestyle and are content with how they are living and do nothing to change it they usually become addicts... Then they tend to use un clean needles while SHARING THEM amongst others... and cigarettes spreading different bacteria and germs. this is how AIDS, herpes, hepatitis, syphilis, and other things spread within a group of struggling people.
Ive seen it personally. Now if i had a magic wand i would introduce them into a rehab facility and set them up with a nice roof over their heads to come home too. I wouldnt necessarily give them money because that can be used for their supply and habits but i would use that wand to supply them with nourishment, a cook book to give them something to do with themselves, a tv and internet to keep them entertained, and a recreational group that includes activities for them to put themselves in so they have something to look forward too and involvement with other healthy people to surround themselves with.
Unfortunately i dont have a wand- nor am i rich enough to put all of this into place so i will continue to protest for the rights of the unforgotten. The major factor that delayed Texas annexation until 1845 was the issue of slavery.
Texas had gained independence from Mexico in 1836 and sought to be annexed by the United States. However, the annexation of Texas was a contentious issue in the United States due to the debate over the expansion of slavery. At the time, Texas was a slave-holding territory, and its annexation would upset the balance between free and slave states in Congress. Northern states opposed the annexation of Texas because it would likely lead to the expansion of slavery and increase the political power of slaveholding states in the Senate. As a result, the issue of Texas annexation became highly politicized and divided along sectional lines. It took several years of political maneuvering and negotiations before Texas was finally annexed by a joint resolution of the United States Congress in 1845, making it the 28th state of the Union. Therefore, the major factor that delayed Texas annexation until 1845 was the controversy and debate over the expansion of slavery.

In accordance with Article III of the 1818 treaty, both countries were granted joint control for ten years, land could be claimed, and all mercantile commerce was assured of unrestricted sailing. However, the international agreement's provisions were contested by both nations. The British called the area Columbia District, whilst Americans called it Oregon Country. Prior to the entrance of American settlers in the middle of the 1830s, which led to the establishment of the Provisional Government of Oregon, British and French Canadian fur traders had already invaded Oregon Country. Ships from all countries participating in the marine fur trade frequently visited its coastal regions to the north of the Columbia River; throughout the 1790s and 1810s, many of the vessels came from Boston. The Columbia Department of the Hudson's Bay Company, whose operations reached tributaries of the Yukon River, included the majority of the Oregon Country, north into New Caledonia, and beyond 54°40′N. President Polk, a supporter of Manifest Destiny, pledged to acquire the region in the Pacific Northwest known as Oregon Country.
What conception of manifest destiny did President Polk have?In his first State of the Union Address, delivered on December 2, 1845, James K. Polk advocated for the US to include all of North America. The idea that the US should extend "from sea to shining sea" was first expressed by James Polk, the nation's first president. It was not Polk's idea of Manifest Destiny. It was not Polk's idea of Manifest Destiny. Newspaper editor John O'Sullivan is credited with coining the phrase initially. Democrats supported it because they considered white Anglo-Saxon America as a Christian civilization with a legitimate claim to the entire continent, regardless of the lengthy histories of the local aboriginal populations or the European forces they encountered.
Polk implemented Manifest Destiny by annexing the ostensibly autonomous Texas and transferring portions of nine states to Mexico. His address continued by asserting "our title to the entire Oregon Territory," which was followed by the assertion that "The civilized world will see in these proceedings a spirit of liberal concession on the part of the United States." He described this enormous expansion of the US as a "bloodless achievement," which is rather perplexing.

False.
During the late 19th century, most large western cities in the United States had a higher population of men than women. This demographic imbalance was primarily due to factors such as the rapid industrialization and urbanization that attracted large numbers of male workers, the predominance of male-dominated industries like mining and railroads, and the westward migration of young single men seeking economic opportunities.
The scarcity of women in these cities resulted in unique social dynamics and challenges, including a gender imbalance and the formation of male-dominated communities. Therefore, the statement that most large western cities had more women than men as late as 1880 is not accurate.
