Hello. I meet with you here today to discuss a form of ever changing evil. One that does not perish, but simply changes form. That of which I am discussing is slavery. If it is not the imprisonment of innocence, then it is the labored imprisonment of innocence's, that contains its evil.

Long before America settled in the land of North America, slavery was established in other countries, but should that make it right? Should that be what slave owners tell themselves, as they wake, to make up for this treachery? I think not.

Advocates like myself, have implored to country to understand this issue. You may recognize, Abraham Lincoln, who valiantly stated, "Slavery is  founded of the selfishness of man's nature; opposition to it's love of justice."

Now, Livelihood's are founded in slave-holding, because we did not stop slavery in its wake. We allowed it to fill our country, and our country suffers for it! These children, our children! Colored or not colored, enslaved or not enslaved will be in shackled, until we return ourselves, to peace.

3 reasons why South Africans have a right not to vote

Answers

Although voting is considered a fundamental right and civic duty in many democracies, including South Africa, individuals also have the right not to vote. Here are three reasons why South Africans have the right not to vote:

Freedom of choice: The right not to vote is a manifestation of individual freedom and autonomy. People should be free to choose to participate in the electoral process without coercion or punishment. It allows people to express their dissatisfaction, resignation, or distrust of the political system or existing candidates.

Political dissent and protest: Not voting can be a form of political dissent or protest. By not voting, a person can send a message to the government and political parties expressing dissatisfaction with the current situation or disagreement with the options available. It can be seen as an opportunity to express a desire for change or register a protest against perceived injustice or systemic problems.

Conscious Abstention: Some people may choose not to vote out of principle or philosophy. They may have beliefs that prevent them from participating in the electoral process, such as religious or ethical objections. For example, some religious groups may abstain from voting because they believe in the separation of religious and political matters.

Why should filibuster be abolished

Answers

The filibuster is fundamentally anti-democratic because it enables a minority of senators to thwart legislation that is supported by the majority of Americans.

Is a filibuster effective?

The difficulty in obtaining a two-thirds majority meant that filibusters continued to be a useful tool for blocking legislation notwithstanding the new cloture rule.

What was the filibuster's initial intent?

There is a lengthy history of using the filibuster to postpone discussion or stop legislation. The 1850s saw the Americanization of the term "filibuster," which comes from a Dutch word that means "pirate," to describe attempts to block Senate floor action on a bill.

Quiz: Why should the filibuster be abolished?

The filibuster should be eliminated, yes: Simple majority rule is mocked by the sixty-vote rule, which also creates deadlock and drags out the process of enacting legislation. As a result, people frequently fail to keep their political promises—like supporting Obamacare—which fuels public skepticism.

Farming practices in Texas after the civil war changed because the number of large-scale plantation farms increased (option a)

Agricultural practices in Texas after the Civil War

After the Civil War ended, settlers moved further west in search of farmland.

Many of these new settlers settled in West Texas or the Panhandle.

Farmers who settled in East Texas had the advantage of a humid climate that allowed for a variety of crops.

The advantage of having cheap and fertile land allowed farmers to use different methods to farm.

The expansion of the railroad also brought settlers to the frontier.

The railway companies promoted the growth of the towns along the routes to increase the number of passengers. The more farmers, the more crop shipments.

Cotton production skyrocketed in Texas after the Civil War. It was the most important crop in the state and generated more profit than all other crops combined.

Farming practices produced over eight hundred thousand bales of cotton in 1879, but in 1900 they produced 3.5 million bales.
