Answer:
The biggest challenge that I face during flexible learning is staying motivated and organized. Without the traditional classroom setting and structure, it can be difficult to stay motivated and organized in order to keep up with coursework and assignments. This can have a negative impact on learning as it can lead to procrastination, confusion, and difficulty in tracking progress. Additionally, it can be difficult to find support and guidance when there is no physical teacher or instructor present. Without this support and guidance, students may not be able to achieve the same level of learning as they would in a traditional classroom setting.

Meaning in a story can be _____ or _____.
Plain or implied
Real or fiction
Strong or weak
Right or wrong
Answer:
I believe the answer is A, Plain or implied.
Explanation:
I used process of elimination and examined how the other answers would look with the blanks. Saying the meaning of a story is "real or fiction", "strong or weak", or "right or wrong" would seem incorrect considering that stories typically have the intent of indirectly teaching the reader a good quality, and if we're focusing strictly on how that message is presented, it would be most logical to say that A is correct, though I apologize if I'm wrong.
In the 1950s, this country-boy Lincoln had morphed1 into the wise, prudent leader who steered the ship of Union between the wild excesses of abolitionists on the left and proslavery fire-eaters on the right. In the 1960s, Lincoln was at first thought of as a civil-rights pioneer.
Soon, he became criticized, even reviled, as a racist and a proponent2 of timid half-measures, a forerunner of the pragmatic liberalism that was so thoroughly drubbed3 by the New Left.
Today, Lincoln is revered for his combination of faith and modesty, a skeptical believer who sought to do God’s will without ever claiming to know it. This view requires one to overlook the fierce and relentless way he conducted the war that defined his presidency.
We too will have our own Lincoln, or Lincolns, and there is good reason to believe that ours will be as partial as anyone else’s.
But we should not be content with such easy relativism4. Out of respect to the man, we should at least try to recover a sense of both the grandeur and the contingency5 of the history that he lived through and helped to shape. To see a statesman in full, and thereby learn something about the nature of statesmanship, one needs to see him not only in the overly clear light of retrospection, but in the shadowy and inconclusive light of the conditions he faced as they were unfolding. “I claim not to have controlled events,” Lincoln mused during the course of his presidency, “but confess plainly that events have controlled me.

The passage reflects on the evolving perceptions of Abraham Lincoln over time. In the 1950s, Lincoln was viewed as a wise and prudent leader who navigated the challenges between abolitionists and proslavery advocates.
However, in the 1960s, he faced criticism and was labeled a racist and advocate of half-hearted measures, particularly by the New Left. Presently, Lincoln is often revered for his faith, modesty, and the combination of his beliefs with his political actions.
The passage acknowledges the need to recognize both the greatness and the contingency of the historical context in which Lincoln operated.
The author cautions against easy relativism and calls for a nuanced understanding of Lincoln's statesmanship. To fully comprehend the nature of statesmanship, it is necessary to examine Lincoln's actions and decisions as they unfolded, acknowledging the complex and inconclusive circumstances he faced.
The passage concludes with Lincoln's own reflection on events controlling him rather than the other way around, highlighting the challenges and limitations of leadership.
Overall, the passage emphasizes the importance of considering historical context and the complexities of leadership when assessing the legacy of figures like Abraham Lincoln.
It encourages a more nuanced understanding of Lincoln's actions and decisions, recognizing the interplay between his personal beliefs, the constraints he faced, and the evolving societal perspectives throughout different periods of history.

2. According to the scientific community, there is no doubt that Pluto should be classified as a dwarf
planet. Why, then, do you think the Rose Center exhibit caused such a stir?
Since its discovery in 1930 until 2006, Pluto was considered a planet, just like the others in the Solar System. But in 2005, Eris Mike Brown announced that he had discovered a new object which was more distant, but larger in the Solar System.
This object was originally named 2003 UB 313, but then was given the official designation of Eris, after the Greek God of strife and solar system. It briefly had the nickname Xena – yes, after the TV show.
With the discovery of Eris, astronomers had to reconsider their definition of a planet. Since Eris is larger than Pluto, the number of planets in the Solar System would need to be expanded to 10. And who knows how much larger it would become with future discoveries.

“All Together Now””
by Barbara Jordan
Persuasive speech given while addressing the Democratic Convention in 1992
When I look at race relations today I can see that some positive changes have come about. But much remains to be done, and the answer does not lie in more legislation. We have the legislation we need: we have the laws. Frankly, I don’t believe that the task of bringing us together can be accomplished by government. What we need now is soul force—the efforts of people working on a small scale to build a truly tolerant, harmonious society. And parents can do a great deal to create that tolerant society.
We all know that race relations in America have had a very rocky history. Think about the 1960s when Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., was in his heyday and there were marches and protests against segregation and discrimination. The movement culminated in 1963 with the March on Washington.
Following that event, race relations reached an all-time peak. President Lyndon B. Johnson pushed through the Civil rights Act of 1964, which remains the fundamental piece of civil rights legislation this century. The Voting Rights Act of 1965 ensured that everyone in our country could vote. At last, black people and white people seemed ready to live together in peace.
But that is not what happened. By the 1990’s the good feeling had diminished. Today the nation seems to be suffering from compassion fatigue, and issues such as race relations and civil rights have never regained momentum.
These issues, however, remain crucial. As our society becomes more diverse, people of all races and backgrounds will have to learn to live together. If we don’t think this is important, all we have to do is look at the situation in Bosnia today.
How do we create a harmonious society out of so many kinds of people? The key is tolerance—the one value that is indispensable in creating community.
If we are concerned about community, if it is important to us that people not feel excluded, then we have to do something. Each of us can decide to have one friend of a different race or background in our mix of friends. If we do this, we’ll be working together to push things forward.
One thing is clear to me: We, as human beings, must be willing to accept people who are different from ourselves. I must be willing to accept people who don’t look as I do and talk as I do. It is crucial that I am open to their feelings, their inner reality.
What can parents do? We can put our faith in young people as a positive force. I have yet to find a racist baby. Babies come into the world as blank slates and, with their beautiful innocence, see others not as different but as enjoyable companions. Children learn ideas and attitudes from the adults who nurture them. I absolutely believe that children do not adopt prejudices unless they absorb them from their parents or teachers.
The best way to get this country faithful to the American dream of tolerance and equality is to start small. Parents can actively encourage their children to be in the company of people who are of other racial and ethnic backgrounds. If a child thinks, “Well, that person’s color is not the same as mine, but she must be okay because she likes to play with the same things I like to play with,” that child will grow up with a broader view of humanity.
I’m an incurable optimist. For the rest of the time that I have left on this planet I want to bring people together. You might think of this as a labor of love. Now, I know that love means different things to different people. But what I mean is this: I care about you because you are a fellow human being and I find it okay in my mind, in my heart, to simply say to you, I love you.
And maybe that would encourage you to love me in return.
It is possible for all of us to work on this—at home, in our schools, at our jobs. It is possible to work on human relationships in every area of our lives.

What is Hamlet about?
Shakespeare's tragedy, The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, commonly abbreviated as Hamlet (/haemlt/), was composed between 1599 and 1601. Shakespeare's longest play, it has 29,551 words. The play, which takes place in Denmark, tells the story of Prince Hamlet seeking retribution from his uncle Claudius, who killed Hamlet's father in order to usurp the kingdom and wed Hamlet's mother.

The play exists in three separate early editions: the First Quarto (Q1, 1603), the Second Quarto (Q2, 1604), and the First Folio (F1, 1623).
