The Globe Playhouse was a theatre in London that was constructed in 1599 by Shakespeare's company.
It was a round, open-air theatre that could hold up to 3,000 spectators and was known for its lively atmosphere and raucous audiences. The Globe is significant in the history of theatre and literature for many reasons, and the three dates mentioned in the question mark key events in its history.
1599: The opening of the Globe Playhouse was a significant moment in the history of theatre. It was one of the first purpose-built theatres in London, and it marked a new era in the development of English drama. The Globe was designed to be a place where ordinary people could come and enjoy plays, and it was known for its affordable ticket prices and lively performances. It was also a place where many of Shakespeare's greatest plays were first performed, including Hamlet, Macbeth, and King Lear.
June, 1613: On June 29, 1613, the Globe Playhouse burned down during a performance of Henry VIII. The fire was caused by a misfiring cannon that was used as a special effect in the play. The Globe was completely destroyed, but there were no fatalities. This event is significant because it marked the end of the first era of the Globe and forced Shakespeare's company to rebuild the theatre.
1644: In 1644, the Globe Playhouse was pulled down by order of the Puritan government. The Puritans were a religious group that believed in strict morality and opposed the theatre because they saw it as a corrupting influence. The Globe was one of many theatres that were closed down during this time, and its destruction marked the end of the second era of the Globe. It was not until the 20th century that the Globe was rebuilt as a replica of the original theatre.

Overview
How cochlear implants work
How cochlear implants workEnlarge image
A cochlear implant is an electronic device that improves hearing. It can be an option for people who have severe hearing loss from inner-ear damage who are not able to hear well with hearing aids.
Unlike hearing aids, which amplify sound, a cochlear implant bypasses damaged portions of the ear to deliver sound signals to the hearing (auditory) nerve.
Cochlear implants use a sound processor that fits behind the ear. The processor captures sound signals and sends them to a receiver implanted under the skin behind the ear. The receiver sends the signals to electrodes implanted in the snail-shaped inner ear (cochlea).
The signals stimulate the auditory nerve, which then directs the signals to the brain. The brain interprets those signals as sounds, though these sounds won't be just like natural hearing.
It takes time and training to learn to interpret the signals received from a cochlear implant. Within 3 to 6 months of use, most people with cochlear implants make considerable gains in understanding speech.

Why it's done
Cochlear implants can improve hearing in people with severe hearing loss who are no longer helped by using hearing aids. Cochlear implants can improve their communication and quality of life.
Cochlear implants may be placed in one ear (unilateral) or both ears (bilateral). Adults will often have one cochlear implant and one hearing aid at first. Adults may then progress to two cochlear implants as the hearing loss advances in the hearing aid ear. Cochlear implants are often placed in both ears at the same time in children with bilateral severe hearing loss — particularly for infants and children who are learning to speak and process language.
Adults of any age and children who are as young as 6 to 12 months old can benefit from cochlear implants.
People who have cochlear implants report improved:
Ability to hear speech without needing visual cues such as reading lips
Recognition of everyday environmental sounds
Ability to listen in a noisy environment
Ability to find where sounds are coming from
Ability to hear television programs, music and telephone conversations
Symptoms of ringing or buzzing (tinnitus) in the implanted ear
To be eligible for a cochlear implant, you must have:
Hearing loss that interrupts spoken communication
Limited benefit from hearing aids as determined by specialized hearing tests
Motivation to participate in hearing rehabilitation and be part of the hearing world
Realistic expectations of what cochlear implants can and can't do for hearin
Name the artist and painting above. How has the artist used space effectively
Answer:
Remember to include an image next time! This question has been asked many times and it seems that it's always referencing French painter Théodore Géricault and his most famous painting, The Raft of the Medusa.
If the image attached doesn't look like the painting, please edit your question to add the right one or upload a new question with the correct painting. If it is, here's how Géricault used space effectively in The Raft of the Medusa:
- Space in composition: The painting is divided into two parts: the front shows the people on the raft, and the back shows the vast, rough sea. This division creates a sense of depth and space in the artwork.
- Spacing in scale and sroportions: Géricault made some people on the raft bigger and closer to us, while others are smaller and farther away. This makes the painting look more realistic and helps us feel the space between the figures.
- Spacing by foreshortening: The bodies on the raft are twisted and bent, making them look like they're coming towards us or moving away. This adds depth and makes the painting look more 3D.
- Spacing that causes perspective: The distant sea and horizon are painted with lighter colors and less detail.
