Dear Diary,

On today's visit, I spent some quality time with my grandparents. Upon my arrival, I noticed that both were struggling with using a computer and were trying to search up ways to solve their problems and didn't really understand the solutions given. So I decided to help them by demonstrating the proper method to do it and gave them pretty simple instructions to understand. In the process I've learned many things that could help me teach them in the future, wish me luck.

We use the Simple Present Tense to express habitual actions, that is, something that is done with a certain frequency. It can also be used to express universal truths, that is, facts that are generally accepted as true by most if not all people. Take a look at the sentence below:

9. My sister walks to school every day. (habitual action)

25. The moon goes round the earth. (universal truth)

We use the Present Continuous to express an action that is taking place at the moment of speaking. It can be a shorter action, one that will end soon, or an action that will last for some time in the future. Phrases such as "at the moment" or "right now" commonly appear with this tense. Examples:

6. She is staying in Africa at the moment.

17. Let's go out. It is not raining now.

Faulty parallelism occurs when parts of a list are not written in the same part of speech.

Answers

Faulty parallelism is a grammatical error that occurs when items in a list or series are not written in the same grammatical structure or part of speech, leading to inconsistency and lack of clarity.

In a parallel construction, all the elements should be presented in a consistent and parallel manner, maintaining the same grammatical form. When faulty parallelism occurs, it disrupts the flow and rhythm of the sentence and may confuse the reader. To avoid this error, it is important to ensure that the items in a list or series are grammatically parallel, using the same verb tense, noun form, or other parts of speech.

By maintaining parallelism, the sentence becomes more coherent and easier to understand.

An essay talking about"teenagers today are influenced by their friends than their parents" from introduction to body and lastly the conclusion

Answers

Introduction: Teenagers today face numerous sources of influence, from their peers, parents, and the media. While it is undeniable that these sources all have an effect on adolescent behavior, it is important to consider which has the most profound impact. This essay will explore the idea that teenagers are more heavily influenced by their friends than their parents.

Body Paragraph 1: Friends often provide a sense of belonging and acceptance to teenagers, which can be hard to find elsewhere. Teenagers tend to form close bonds with their peers and may look to them to learn how to navigate the world around them. Furthermore, as teenagers develop into adults, they become increasingly independent and are more likely to take risks, such as experimenting with drugs or alcohol, which can be heavily influenced by their friends.

Body Paragraph 2: In contrast, parents typically have a more restrictive approach to parenting, which can lead to tension in the relationship. Whereas friends may encourage risky behavior, parents are often focused on providing guidance and support, which can lead to feelings of resentment from their children. Additionally, parents can become less involved in their children’s lives as they grow older, leading to a decrease in their influence.

Conclusion: Ultimately, it is clear that while both parents and friends can influence teenagers, friends are often more influential. Friends provide a sense of belonging and acceptance that can be hard to find elsewhere, and may encourage risky behaviors. In contrast, parents may have a more restrictive approach, which can lead to tension in the relationship. Therefore, it is evident that teenagers are more likely to be influenced by their friends than their parents.

Introduction:
Teenagers today are growing up in a world that is vastly different from the one their parents grew up in. With the advent of social media, the internet, and other forms of technology, teenagers are increasingly exposed to a variety of influences from their peers. As a result, many teenagers are more influenced by their friends than their parents.

Body:
One of the main reasons why teenagers are more influenced by their friends than their parents is because of the amount of time they spend with them. Teenagers tend to spend more time with their friends than with their parents, and as a result, they are more likely to be influenced by their friends’ opinions and values. Additionally, teenagers often feel more comfortable talking to their friends about their problems and concerns than they do with their parents. This can lead to teenagers being more likely to take advice from their friends than from their parents.

Another reason why teenagers are more influenced by their friends than their parents is because of the way they view their parents. Many teenagers view their parents as authority figures who are out of touch with their lives and struggles. As a result, they may be more likely to take advice from their friends who they view as more understanding and relatable.

Conclusion:
In conclusion, it is clear that teenagers today are more influenced by their friends than their parents. This is due to the amount of time they spend with their friends, as well as the way they view their parents. It is important for parents to recognize this and to make an effort to stay connected with their teenagers in order to ensure that they are making informed decisions.

What should I word should I put there their and they're in the sentence unless there is some kind of delay zuri Ross Will finish her project tonight

Answers

Answer:

The correct word to use here is indeed "there":

Unless there is some kind of delay, Zuri Ross will finish her project tonight.

Explanation:

The three words "there", "their", and "they're" are pronounced in exactly the same way, which can be confusing when we need to write them down. But there is a simple way to distinguish them:

1. they're → is the contraction of two words: They are. "They're" is used as the subject as well as the verb of a sentence. For example: They're already here! / They're talking about you.

2. their → is the possessive pronoun for the third person plural. It is used to show that something belongs to someone. For example: I saw their new car, it is really nice. / Their mother is looking for them.

3. there → this word can be used to refer to a location, almost opposite to "here". But it is also employed in "there + to be" to indicate the existence of something. For example: There is a park near here. / There was delay, so they haven't arrive yet.
