Procrastination and homework
Instead of starting a lengthy essay or studying for a test, many of us do something else. We procrastinate. It's common to put things off. Still, giving in to distractions can really hurt us in the long run.
Recognizing Procrastination
Procrastination is when we delay or put off doing something that we may not want to do. We think we'll feel better if we do something fun, such as watching a TV show, instead of studying or reading.
But when we procrastinate we give in to the urge to put off our responsibilities. We end up feeling worse in the long run, not better. And what's worse, we end up doing a poor job when we finally get started on the task at hand!
Those who procrastinate the most are usually performing below their potential. Do you spend too much time on things that don't matter? You may be a procrastinator if you:
• Feel the impulse to clean your entire room before you get started on a project.
• Rewrite the first sentence or paragraph of a paper several times, over and over again.
• Spend too much time (days) to decide on a topic when you have an assignment to start.
• Carry books around all the time, but never actually open them to study.
• Get angry if a parent asks you, "Have you started yet?"
• Always seem to find an excuse to avoid going to the library or sitting down to start on research for a project.
You probably did relate to at least one of those situations. But, don't be hard on yourself.
That means you are perfectly normal, and the key to success is not allowing these distractions to affect your grades in a bad way. A little procrastination is normal, but too much is self-defeating and can hurt you in the long run.
Avoiding Procrastination
There are a few things you can do to help you fight the urge to put things off. Try the following tips next time you feel like procrastinating.
1. Recognize that a little voice lives inside every one of us that tells us it would be rewarding to play a game, eat or watch TV when we know better, so don't fall for it! Think about the rewards of accomplishments, and put reminders around the room you study in. Is there a specific college you want to attend? Perhaps you can put a poster from that college right over your desk to serve as a reminder to do your best.
2. Work out a reward system with your parent. There may be a concert you're dying to go to or a new coat you've spotted in the mall that you really want. Make a deal with your parents way ahead of time and make an agreement that you can receive the reward only if you reach your goals. Then, make sure you and your parents stick to the deal!
3. Start with small goals if you're facing a big assignment, and don't feel defeated or stressed out by the big picture. Accomplishment feels great, so set small goals first, and take it day by day. You can always set new goals as you go.
4. Give yourself time to break away from studying. Set aside a special time to do whatever you want. Afterward, you'll probably feel more ready to get to work!
5. Find a study partner who will help you stay on track. Meet regularly to discuss your commitments and deadlines. It's a strange thing about humans: We might be willing to let ourselves down easily enough, but we hesitate to disappoint a friend.
6. Give yourself 10 minutes or so to clean your space before you get started. The urge to clean as a procrastination method is common, and it is based on the fact that our brains desire the feeling of "starting with a clean slate." Go ahead and organize your space — but don't take too much time.
We can actually see that the central ideas seen in the passage is that identifying procrastination as a hindrance to your success. We see that here: "You probably did relate to at least one of those situations. But, don't be hard on yourself.
That means you are perfectly normal, and the key to success is not allowing these distractions to affect your grades in a bad way."
Also, we see that one can actually overcome procrastination if such one doesn't put off the things that he/she is do now.
What is procrastination?Procrastination actually refers to the habit of neglecting to do the activity or duty that one is expected to do and putting it off to do another irrelevant thing.
Procrastination has hindered many people today. There are people who have missed deadlines as a result of procrastination. Procrastination is a disease that must be dealt with.

As a substance decays, it gives off carbon dioxide gas. What kind of matter is most likely found in the essence? Explain your answer.
(Help me pls)
I will mark you brainiest
Answer:
Based on the information provided, it is likely that the substance that is decaying and giving off carbon dioxide gas contains organic matter.
This is because carbon dioxide is a byproduct of the process of cellular respiration, which occurs in living organisms. During cellular respiration, organic molecules such as glucose are broken down to release energy, with carbon dioxide and water being produced as waste products.
Therefore, if a substance is giving off carbon dioxide gas as it decays, it suggests that the substance originally contained organic matter that is undergoing the process of decay and decomposition. This could include living organisms such as plants or animals, or organic materials such as wood or food.

This question is about "Things Fall Apart"
Answer and Explanation:
Unoka is Okonkwo's father, the two are the heads of their families and both die without honor, bringing shame to their tribes. This is the main similarity between them. However, the differences between them are more influential and highlighted in the novel.
Unoka has an aversion to violence, is unable to get involved in activities that involve blood and prefers to get involved in artistic activities that are not considered honorable for a man, who must be strong and promote the protection of his tribe and his family. Unoka is unable to promote neither the protection nor the well-being of his family, since he lives borrowing money and never pays his own debts, promoting his family's shame.
Okonkwo hates his father's behavior and decides to be a completely different man, becoming a strong warrior and an admirable farmer, who promotes the support and protection of his family. Okonkwo's aversion to his father shows how the discrepancy of goals and styles between parents and children can disintegrate the healthy and admirable relationship between them, promoting trauma and dissatisfaction between them.

when formulating a question for discussion, a problem-solving small group should phrase the question
When formulating a question for discussion, a problem-solving small group should phrase the question in a clear, open-ended manner that encourages collaborative thinking and multiple perspectives. This approach allows group members to explore different ideas and possible solutions while actively engaging in the problem-solving process.
To achieve this, it's important to avoid yes/no questions and instead focus on "how," "why," or "what" questions. This encourages deeper discussion and analysis, as opposed to simply arriving at a single correct answer. Additionally, providing context and background information within the question can help group members better understand the problem at hand. For example, a well-phrased question for a problem-solving small group might be, "How can we improve communication within our team to increase overall productivity and job satisfaction?" This question invites members to share their experiences, thoughts, and suggestions on the issue, ultimately leading to a more comprehensive and effective solution.
In summary, when formulating a question for a problem-solving small group discussion, it's essential to use clear, open-ended phrasing that promotes collaboration and encourages members to explore different solutions. Answer:
B. "... in our adversary system of criminal justice, any person haled into court, who is too poor to hire a lawyer, cannot be assured a fair trial unless counsel is provided for him."
Explanation:
The main legal argument of Gideon v. Wainwright is that in the United States, the right to counsel is essential to ensure a fair trial for a criminal defendant. In a criminal trial, the defendant is often at a disadvantage because the prosecution has more resources and expertise. To level the playing field, the Sixth Amendment to the United States Constitution guarantees the right to counsel for all defendants in criminal trials. This means that if a defendant cannot afford to hire a lawyer, the state must provide one for them.

Answer:
Almost every student around the world wishes to pursue his or her education. However, every issue
has its pros and cons. In order to making a better decision, one has to explore different aspects of a
plan.
Advantages of Studying Abroad
Firstly, studying overseas can help to improve you a lot apart from learning in your place. Doing this
kind of learning can hone your language skills because of the new environment you will have yourself
adapted to with new classes, home, and new friends. Nothing is better than learning languages with
native speakers. For example, if you are in countries like America or England, learning English won’t
be such a problem. You can improve your English days by days with ease because you need to
speak, to talk to foreign people there and that will boost your confidence a lot. Furthermore, studying
overseas is necessary to improve and develop yourself due to the culture, traditions, and lifestyle of
the place where you study. Secondly, students who are learning abroad can potentially see the world,
they can have a great chance to attain knowledge of a new culture. Obviously, when a student
studies abroad for the first time, he will be able to see a totally new culture. Everything is different
from his country but learning a new culture is not a difficult task. New culture, new lifestyle can be
learned easily by observing, living with native people or taking part in some festivals or some special
events. This will help students who are learning abroad to have a better understanding of the new
country and also offer them an overall view of the multicultural world they are living in. Not only
attaining new culture give a better understanding of the new place but it also helps students to form
new great habits.
Disadvantages of Studying Abroad
Studying abroad is a good choice but many schools’ tuition is a pretty penny. According to
“GoAbroad”, the average cost of studying abroad in foreign countries hovers around 18000 dollars
per semester and 36000 per full academic year. Even though studying abroad is a great opportunity
but it does not guarantee that a person who studies abroad will have a successful future. Last but not
least, learning in another country might be risky and quite challenging. Your learning progress can be
affected by many problems like weather, illness. A common problem that a lot of studying abroad
students may have is with the weather. Weather is something that no one can predict. Freaky storms
are quite scary when you don’t have your own house to protect you. Being in a foreign country with a
hurricane coming can scare you and all you have for comfort is the other students and your
chaperones. You will need to be prepared for things like this since unsightly weather is a risk that you
will have to take. Another illustration of the risky problems of studying abroad is illness and medicine.
When bad things happen, the place where you’re studying might not have the medical care system
you need. Nowadays, in the context of globalization, exchanges between countries are more regular,
information around the world can be accessed more easily but studying abroad still remain the most
effective way. People can directly see what the country has done and can approach to a new way of
thinking. They can live in the real environment, sense directly how things are operated.
All in all, going abroad in order to continue the education has some advantages and disadvantages.
After a thorough consideration of merits and demerits of it, I decide to put all my vigor and pursue my
education abroad. Each of us should accept that studying abroad has good sides as well as bad one.
For sure many students would get over all those disadvantages but how about others who might not
be able to handle all of them. It might not be good choice to study abroad for all students. They have
to figure it out before they leave their country. Otherwise, those issues would affect all your life with
failure. Studying abroad is a good opportunity to chose, but the advantages and disadvantages must
be weighed very carefully before a student leaves the country.
